Celebrating 20 Years in 2022
Majestic View Nature Center started on Trails Day 2002 and has served over 300,000 people since. In a 2019 community survey, 28% of Arvadans responded they had visited the Nature Center. So after 20 years of environmental education and connecting with so many people, we thought we’d celebrate! Saturday, April 23
Join us as we celebrate 20 years of environmental stewardship with family activities and booths.
Every day is Earth Day when you’re a certified Tree City, but once a year we come together to celebrate the official Earth Day! This family-friendly event will include:
- Educational booths
- Tree planting (weather-permitting)
- Trash cleanup competition
- Rain Barrel giveaway
- Poster contest winner announcement
- And more!
Saturday, June 4
Our annual tradition since 2002 where we will celebrate 20 years of trail connections.
Celebrate trails as we prep for the trail loop final segment around Oberon Lake and repair our soft trails-volunteers needed in the morning! Then get excited about nature and have fun on our trails with the whole family in the afternoon. Discover booths, crafts, live animals, take the trail passport challenge, and connect with the amazing community we have here at Majestic View through Arvada’s trails. Then join a guided nature walk with an interpretive guide to appreciated the trails and the nature that surrounds them. Visit our event page to see what we did.
Saturday, June 18
We’ve celebrated pollinators in our classes and our garden, but let’s celebrate pollinator homes across Arvada.
Garden tours can be gorgeous, but have you ever attended from the perspective of a bee? Travel around Arvada to discover these native and pollinator friendly hubs to get inspired for your garden. This kid-friendly garden tour will explore pollinator-specific gardens as you navigate and collect stamps from every stop for an entry to win a pollinator garden gift basket.
And everyone can participate and help provide conservation data with the Nature Center’s pollinator project on Speak Up Arvada coming early May. Learning where our pollinator gardens are across the City can help the Nature Center determine migration pathways. See what we did and learn more about pollinator gardens.
20 Years of Nature Party

As we celebrate 20 years at Majestic View, we look forward to 20 more!
Join the party as we dig out free, family fun with activities, booths, partners and more. We will celebrate with tales of Majestic View’s history and some sneak peeks into plans for the future. A treasure hunt contest will run throughout the event as well as fun, family activities to participate in! Explore the park with scheduled nature walks and connect with the people who make environmental learning fun. Plus…cupcakes!
