The Nature Center is the City of Arvada’s environmental education facility. We offer many school and group programs to engage kids with nature. Using the nature trails, wetland areas and prairie ecosystems to explore, we connect thousands of kids with Arvada’s parks to better understand nature.
We also provide programs for everyone with our public programming, from toddlers to adults, to connect all ages in our community with the wonder of nature. From nature art to drop in discoveries to conservation presentations to family campfire series, you can find almost any nature topic. For quick answer, visit our Frequently Asked Questions.
Upcoming Program Notices:
- Fossil Art Club has been canceled due to instructor medical leave.
Current City Resources: Emergency Preparedness
Each September, the City of Arvada participates in National Preparedness Month in partnership with Ready.gov. Disasters and emergencies can occur at any time, so it is important that we raise awareness about the importance of individual and community preparedness every year. Simple steps make a big difference for yourself, your family, and the community should we need to respond quickly. The 2021 theme is “Prepare to Protect. Preparing for disasters is protecting everyone you love.”
