Summer Internships

Help us with your curiosity.
With new eyes comes new ideas that help us discover nature in ways we hadn’t thought of before. Interns assist with a variety of assignments, each year with different projects. Past interns have worked on, but are not guaranteed to be available in the future, projects related to the following:
Teaching public programs
Teaching summer field trips
Filming virtual programs (scripting to editing)
Garden work days/park work days
Event support (planning and executing)
Animal conservation research in collaboration with MVNC partners
Trail maintenance
Curriculum/program development
Marketing planning
Animal husbandry
*All interns must submit volunteer paperwork and be at least 13 years of age
Volunteer Internships
Summer Internships are typically available late May through August and typically expect at least 100 hours. Check back next spring to see what internship opportunities are coming next year! Or see more volunteer information on our volunteer page, and download our volunteer waiver.
