Reopening June 19

After over a year with no public visitors, the Majestic View Nature Center will reopen starting Saturday, June 19! Public hours will be restored to Tuesday – Saturday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.  after June 19.

With the reopening of the Nature Center, some new displays and old favorites will be available for the public to explore. One new display includes an augmented reality sandbox where visitors can get hands-on as they learn and shape watersheds without even getting wet. And if you stop by June 19 between 10 to 1, you can dive back into nature with Dave the cartoonist and some of our reptiles.

Local public health restrictions may still apply. Visitors will be admitted first-come-first-serve with limited capacity inside the building and everyone aged 4+ years may still be required to wear a mask while indoors. Scheduled programs may require temporary closures for public visitors.

Health Protocols:

  • We ask all visitors to wash or sanitize hands when entering as not all biofacts are able to be sanitized with out damage
  • Masks will still be required indoors until City and local mandates say it is safe to do otherwise
  • The Nature Center’s surfaces and high touch points will be sanitized regularly
