20th Anniversary in 2022 at Majestic View-General Info

New exhibits, new programs, and new ways to connect with nature are happening now at Majestic View Nature Center. The Nature Center is celebrating 20 years of environmental education and stewardship as part of the City of Arvada’s Vibrant Communities & Neighborhoods worksystem. Since opening in 2002, Majestic View staff and volunteers have impacted over 300,000 people at programs, festivals, interactive exhibits and field trips.

As 2022 warms up, the Nature Center will be celebrating it’s mission to “inspire environmental learning and interpretive connections” across 4 events; celebrating our connections with our Earth, connections with our trails, connections with our garden pollinators, and connections with our community. Each event is free and family friendly with interactive activities, interpretive stations, volunteer opportunities and more.

In addition to celebrations, the Nature Center is focused on innovating more inclusive and interactive ways to connect with visitors through the variety of exhibits. Beginning in 2022, exhibit updates will begin to appear in and around the Nature Center that is free for visitors to check out. The Nature Center is open year-round to the public Tuesday-Saturday, 10 to 3.

20 years of Nature Party 8/6-Event Info

The Nature Center has grown and accomplished some great things in the last 20 years, reaching over 300,000 community members. As our community continues to grow and include more people, new ideas and different experiences, the Nature Center strives toward connecting people to nature through interpretive experiences and making environmental learning fun. This would happen without the visitors, the volunteers, and the community support for programs, interactive exhibits and Arvada’s many parks and open spaces. So to celebrate, Majestic View wants to take you “behind the scenes” into the creation and the vision for the the Nature Center with a free, family-friendly festival.

All members of the community are welcome to join in the festivities at the Nature Center on Saturday, August 6. From nature play to crafts, partner booths, guided walks and more–come explore the park to discover new connections with our community and learn something new about Arvada’s natural spaces.
