Rental & Facility Information
The Nature Center building is available to rent for small business meetings, social functions and other special events. From birthday parties with a fun nature program to team retreats to small weddings, the Nature Center can provide a unique location for your function. We often have a full schedule of programs and school groups that limit the number of rentals we can accommodate, so please book early (we typically book a minimum of 2-3 weeks out).
The Majestic View Park does not have pavilions, but several picnic tables are first-come-first-served. To reserve the park or sports field, contact APEX at 303.467.7144 or visit their website for more information.
Areas Available to Rent
You may rent any of the following locations at the Nature Center. With your rental, you will also be able to access the gardens and the back patio. We cannot accommodate rentals on short notice. We recommend groups of 30 or more to also plan on using outdoor spaces as well (maximum indoor occupancy: 75) and/or booking after our public hours. If you are unsure about the space or have specific needs for your events, we recommend visiting the Nature Center during our public hours or requesting a tour in your rental inquiry.
Willow Room/Large Classroom
This cozy meeting room is perfect for parties, retreats, or business meetings. Equipped with a counter, gas fireplace, and lake view windows make this a relaxing space to enjoy your event. This room also has sliding door access to the back deck. This room is closest to the front entrance, but has heavy doors that can block most noise.

Spruce Room/Small Classroom

- 13’ x 24’ (312 sq. ft); Seats 40 people theater style.

- 13’ x 58’ (Includes exhibits); Seats 40 people theater style.

Furnishing & Set-Ups Available
We have limited tables and chairs that guests may use during their rental. Please be aware that you may need to provide additional items for your function, including all decorations, additional chairs and food. We do not provide food, but you may cater your event or bring in food items for your function. For more information, feel free to stop by during our public hours or contact us. We have available:

*All decorations must be approved by staff. Only painter’s tape is allowed to adhere items and CANNOT be placed on mounts.
Break Down Requirements
We expect our guests to respect the Nature Center and the wildlife in the park. Leaving trash, crumbs or spills can attract pests and wildlife, damage the facility. Rentals will be asked to take out any event trash to our outside cans, take recyclables home, return furnishings to their previous location, and help clean up after themselves (which may including vacuuming spills and crumbs). A staff member or a volunteer will be available to assist your group with these tasks. We thank you for helping to keep the Nature Center a great place to connect with nature–we greatly appreciate it!
The parking lot connected to the Nature Center allows up to 25 vehicles, the East parking lot off of 72nd and Carr allows up to 75 vehicles (⅓ mile walk to Center). Please make sure your guests have directions to the Nature Center. You can share our location on google maps or have them type in our address at 7030 Garrison St. Arvada. Other Limitations & Restrictions
The building capacity is limited at 75 people, although you may find our facility better fits groups under 50 people (especially on stormy days). Larger groups may be limited to after hours as the building needs to remain accessible for drop-in guests during public open hours. If you are expecting more than 75 people, consider reserving the park/field through Apex field reservations. We reserve the right to limit entrance of additional guests to maintain fire code.
Note: Public water access is only available in the kitchen off the main hall, kitchen supplies may not be available. Limited restrooms allow for 2 users at a time, also accessed from the main hall. There is a seasonal outdoor drinking fountain available during warmer months.
Also, since we are surrounded by wildlife resting areas and are part of a city public park, the following are not allowed for any function:
Amplified outside music (Anything louder than normal talking volume)
Tent stakes or other ground penetrating items
Functions after 11 p.m./park curfew–all guests must be off park premises by after 11 p.m. (unless special overnight permitting is acquired prior to the event-see City of Arvada’s Special Event Permits for additional fees and restrictions).
Rental Base Rates
Deposits are requested at date of booking to complete reservation and are typically 50% of the total estimated cost. Rates are based on reservation length, type of rental, special accommodations and staffing requirements. Reservations during public hours must not block or inhibit public access to the Main Hall or Kids Nook. If you have a large group and do not plan to utilize outdoor space, we may not be able to accommodate your reservation during public hours. These rates may help you estimate your rental cost, but pricing may vary depending on your function or staffing requirements. For example, additional site visits for special events, like weddings or life celebrations, may have additional costs.
Non-Profit Base Rates
$40/hr, $60/hr after public hours; $150 maximum daily rate

Small Groups Base Rates
Typically fewer than 20 people
$80/hr, $100/hr after public hours (includes setup & event-takedown time)
Large Groups Base Rates
Typically more than 20 people; We recommend after hour reservations to accommodate larger groups
$120/hr, $150/hr after public hours (includes setup & event-takedown time)
Program Add-On Base Rates
25 minute program within reservation time. Available for up to 15 participants ($5/additional participant)
$115 for 1.5 hour rental (includes program time); $25 for each additional half hour
